Digital Accessibility
Digital accessibility refers to the ability of people with disabilities/impairments to independently consume and/or interact with digital (e.g., web, mobile) applications and content. Accessibility eliminates barriers to information and communication technologies, provides equitable solutions to engage our university community, and encourages the development of accessible technologies and techniques.
At the University of Illinois System, we serve a large and diverse community that relies on the Internet for numerous facets of life, encompassing education, employment, commerce, research, health care, and leisure.
By working together to make our digital content accessible, we create a culture where university community members can fully, equally, and independently participate in university activities without accommodations or assistance.
